The Daisy Air-Guns Credo

The Daisy Air-Guns Credo, a choice tidbit of Second Amendment nonsense from American Youths’ Bill of Rights, first printed in 1947 by the BB gun maker Daisy Manufacturing Company, Rogers, Arkansas. Millions of copies of this “poignant plea” for the right of minors to bear arms were circulated. More enthralling bibliography from one of my favourite websites, www.50watts.com, “a growing archive of weird and wonderful visual ephemera from around the world” and, in the words of David Pearson, “Quite possibly the richest source of book-related design and illustration in the universe. Will displays the fervour of the most dedicated historian whilst time and again proving he has an eye for exceptional images.”
