Angry Animals: The Tasmanian Devil

From Gould’s Mammals of Australia

The Tasmanian Devil was first documented by zoologist George Harris in Hobart Town in 1807. Below is an extract of his account of the animal, with a drawing. Note that the Devils were eaten by convicts and were said to taste like veal.

A Tasmanian Devil today, magnificently defiant though an endangered species. Good luck to it!
